We’ve just weathered a major winter storm. Now it’s time to have some fun in that snow at Weather the Fort, an outdoor winter festival complete with live music and activities aimed at highlighting the best of what Fort Wayne has to offer.

Vibrant art performances and talented musicians take center stage at this family-friendly, all-ages event established six years ago as a way to bring some light to the region’s seasonally gray winter skies. Weather the Fort gives residents something to look forward to as we forge through the final portion of another seemingly endless Indiana winter.

Weather the Fort has grown steadily in attendance each year. The event returns to The Landing again this year after a one-year hiatus due to the ongoing pandemic, offering live music from several local bands. The always popular live ice carvings, and fire dancing performances are scheduled to return as well.

The very popular beer garden will return this year, featuring offerings from Rhinegeist Brewing with specialty keg tapping throughout the day. People are encouraged to check out the many food options with the businesses located on The Landing including Marquee, Nawa, The Landing Beer Co., Utopian Coffee, Alto Grado, and Mercado.

Taking place 3-9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, Weather the Fort is free for all to attend. For more information about Weather the Fort, head over to their website, weatherthefort.com, or find them on Facebook and Instagram.
