The Sum Morz Andy Music Fest at the legendary Buck Lake Ranch in Angola is an annual gathering of friends, bands, and people who simply like to have a good time.
The festival is named for the brother of Sum Morz guitarist Chad Hiatt, the originator of the annual Sum Morz camping trip. The camping trip, unfortunately, dwindled down to just a few attendees after his passing. In his honor, the band decided to reenergize the annual getaway by inviting everybody in the area to come and enjoy great music and good company.
The event takes place Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 7 and 8, and features local favorites and festival organizers Sum Morz as the headliner on Saturday night.
After putting out the call to their community of friends for support, Sum Morz were able to book BDP, The Illegals, Pop N Fresh, Plumdingo, The Kickbacks, Dave Pagan, Eddie King, Mom N Pop, and about a half dozen others to appear with them.
Primitive camping will be available for those wanting to spend the night, and food and vendors will be on site for eating and shopping needs. The fun and comradery you’ll experience is more than worth the price of admission.
