Heads Up! This article is 4 years old.

Soil hit it big in 2001 with the rock radio hit “Halo.” Led by Fort Wayne music scene veteran and Dunkirk, Indiana, native Ryan McCombs, Soil’s second album, and first full-length, Scars, launched the band into headliner status on the strength of that song as well as “Unreal.” The band visited Fort Wayne a few times on that album cycle and has appeared here many times since, both with and without McCombs.

On October 11, Soil return to the Million Dollar Stage inside Piere’s, a stage they have dominated on many occasions in the past. At one point during the recording of their 2012 live album Re-Live-ing the Scars in London, McCombs compared the Soil live experience to watching “four jackasses having a good time.”

While they may not take themselves too seriously, this Windy City-based band consistently puts on one heck of a show and always leave the audience wanting more. Rest assured, whenever McCombs and company hit the stage, you’ll get a high-energy, no-frills concert experience filled with anthemic songs like the aforementioned hits as well as “Pride,” “The Hate Song,” and “Redefine.”

The Outfit, also from Chicago, and Second Season, from South Bend, will open the show.
