Are you ready for Halloween season? Are you ready for the excitement, suspense, and thrills of one of the best haunts in the area? Then you will want to make sure to visit Hysterium, located at 4410 Arden Road in Fort Wayne just off Engle Road on the southwest side of the city. Celebrating another year of “Anarchy: Patients Rule,” the award-winning haunt features realistic scenes designed to scare the pants off of every guest who dares enter the building. As the name implies, the patients of Hysterium have taken over the asylum and now run things the way they want to run them. They’ve turned their delusions into reality and created an experience you won’t soon forget. Hysterium is packed with impressive details. In the past the haunt has featured full-sized skeletal horses with riders, old-fashioned carnival posters, and a mortuary complete with a hook-laden meat conveyor systems. But things change every year, so don’t go in thinking you already know what is around every corner. It’s not uncommon to involuntarily emit blood-curdling screams at any of several stops throughout the journey. Hysterium is open Friday and Saturday nights through Oct. 31 plus a couple of Thursdays, Oct. 22 and 29.Because this is 2020, there are, of course, some new rules in effect designed to help keep everyone healthy and safe. This year, tickets will be sold by ten minute timed-slot reservations. Tickets are limited and will sell out early on most nights, so it is recommended that you buy them online at hysterium.com and reserve your spot before you get there.
