The Allen County Public Library has announced the 2023 lineup for everyone’s favorite summer concert series, Rock the Plaza.

Hard to believe this event has been going strong for 16 years. That’s awesome!

This year they will feature a somewhat trimmed-down version of the downtown event with 28 local bands performing 6-10 p.m. every Saturday from June 17-July 29.

Starting things off June 17 will be The Mighty McGuiggans, Nate Shultz, Zen BBQ, and Los Galaxy

The rest of the schedule includes Phil Schurger’s Sungate, Austin & The Avenue, Todd Staszak, and Juniper Pass on June 24; Alicia Pyle & The Locals, Chris Hambrick, Maleena Felger, and Sum Morz on July 1; Whoa, Man!, Frantic, Next Gen Jammers, and Middle Names on July 8; Moser Woods, URB, Tone Junkies, and Radio Replay on July 15; Sunglasses at Night, Jonah Leatherman, JJ & McRae, and The Keystones on July 22; and Phil’s Family Lizard, Sam Trowbridge Band, Mike Conley, and Hustle54 on July 29.

Like always, Pint & Slice will be on site selling food and beverages, including beer and wine. All you need to do is round up the troops, grab a blanket or lawn chair, and get ready to unwind.

Brian Regan, Foy Vance coming to Clyde

Standup comedy legend Brian Regan is set for a performance at The Clyde on Thursday, Dec. 7.

No matter if you prefer your comedy dry, soft, or downright dark, Regan has you covered.

Along with the comedic act, The Clyde has also announced that award-winning Northern Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance will perform Sunday, Jan. 28.

Vance is out celebrating the 10-year anniversary of his breakthrough album Joy of Nothing. Joining him will be Bonnie Bishop

Reserved seats for both shows go on sale Friday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at clydetheatre.com, over the phone at (800) 514-3849, or in person at The Clyde box office and Sweetwater Sound.

Musical lineup set for Lunch on the Square

Beginning Thursday, June 1, Lunch on the Square returns for its 15th season.

If that doesn’t excite you, I don’t know what will. I know I’m ready to sit back on a sunny lunch hour and enjoy live music and tasty food from one of my favorite food trucks.

The fun takes place at Freimann Square every Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. through Aug. 31.

The first event will feature music by Alicia Pyle & The Locals, followed by Hold the Line (June 8), Shannon Persinger & Eric Clancy (June 15), Lacey Jane Band (June 22), Sunny Taylor (June 29), Todd Harrold Band (July 6), Mike Conley (July 13), Jen & The Foggy Creek Band (July 20), Basketcase (July 27), Uncle Muscle (Aug. 3), Lisa McDavid Band (Aug. 10), Pavey & Company (Aug. 17), Angie Marquardt (Aug. 24), and Ross Kinsey (Aug. 31).
