Winter is officially behind us — so says the calendar anyway.

To mark the start of spring, Riverfront Fort Wayne will host the free Spring Celebration: Birds, Bugs, & Blooms! on March 23 at Promenade Park in downtown Fort Wayne.

The day begins with representatives from Soarin’ Hawk Rehabilitation Center bringing some winged friends along for a presentation at noon. From there, you’re free to hop around, checking out the Explorer’s Library, taking part in a scavenger hunt, creating a bug hotel. — Anthony Gadson
