An opportunity to start off your New Year’s Eve celebration right begins with the traditional Fort Wayne Komets’ New Year’s Eve hockey game at Memorial Coliseum.

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, as the Komets take on the first-place archrival Toledo Walleye. This is sure to be a feisty and hard-fought contest that will go a long way toward deciding the eventual outcome of the ECHL’s Central Division. 

With the “early” start, you will have plenty of time to watch this spirited affair before heading to where you need to be to watch the ball drop. Or, you’ll just have plenty of time to get home and into bed.

You will want to get to the game early since this is always one of the highest-attended games of the season.
