It was written more than 40 years ago. But Jesus Christ Superstar, the first musical penned by eventual Broadway icons Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, remains a favorite for audiences and actors alike.

The rock opera details the last week of the life of Jesus Christ through the eyes of his betrayer, Judas Iscariot, and is told entirely through song.

You will be transported back in time since several hits of the ’70s, including “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How To Love Him,” and “Gethsemane,” highlight the night at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Wabash. Shows are scheduled July 13-22 at various times.
