Celebration slated for Sept. 30 with food, music
Celebrate the AARP Fitness Park from 4:30-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, at Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Community Center.
¡FitLot Fiesta! will feature live music from Sunny Taylor, games, food, and demonstrations of the outdoor fitness center, which is the focus of this free party sponsored by AARP Indiana.
The park was built as part of AARP’s 60th anniversary celebration initiative to add a new fitness parks in every state and was constructed in collaboration with FitLot, a national nonprofit that advocates for free public exercise spaces. Though it is geared toward seniors, the fitness park can be used by residents of all ages and the equipment is available anytime, so bring the whole family for an early evening of fun.
