American farms are central to the economy of the United States, and many in this area rely on them for employment. To celebrate this, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation has organized the two-day Fall Harvest Festival at Salomon Farm Park.

Stop by Sept. 22-23 for a chance to learn more about farming and enjoy plenty of fun activities designed to entertain attendees of all ages including wagon rides, barrel train rides, blacksmith demonstrations, a children’s maze, and encounters with farm animals.

Exclusive to Saturday’s celebration will be a farmers market, a tractor parade at noon, cloggers, a Frisbee dog show, pony rides, and an always entertaining pie-eating contest.
