Christmas on Broadway is back for a 19th year with the celebration taking place on Friday, Nov. 17, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
One of Fort Wayne’s favorite holiday kickoff events, Christmas on Broadway is presented in front of the Shine & Hardin law office in the Broadway Plaza, next to the former home of Trubble Brewing.
The highlight of the event is the lighting of the 40-foot Colorado spruce tree followed by fireworks.
The night begins with the Concordia Lutheran High School Marching Band leading a parade down Broadway, followed by a fire truck carrying Santa and Mrs. Claus before children get a chance to visit with them.
Take pictures, pet one of the real reindeer, and even take a ride on the Polar Express miniature train.
Smokin’ J’s food truck will be on hand to offer food while Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will have hot beverages available of purchase to help keep everyone warm.
