The Fancy & Staple gift shop at 1111 Broadway will host an evening of art, music, and animals on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 6-9 p.m. The Doink & Dink print show will feature the magnificent work of local artists Addeline Griswold and Jared Andrews. In addition to their work, this all-ages affair will feature an exotic petting zoo by Indiana Wild and the new Bird & Cleaver food trunk parked out front slingin’ some of the most delicious food in the Fort. If that’s not enough to entertain you, Andrews’ band The Meat Flowers is set to perform as well. If you haven’t had the chance to check out the Fancy & Staple, this is the perfect chance to do so. Masks and social distancing are required.Support independent record stores Record Store Day is going to look very different this year, but supporting indie record stores may be more important than ever. RSD was initially set to take place on April 18 and initially postponed until June 20. Then, it was delayed once more and spread over three separate days to accommodate social distancing measures. RSD will now take place on three different Saturdays: Aug. 29, Sept. 26, and Oct. 24. All the special releases that were to drop back in March will now be released on one of the three dates. To see the complete list of releases, visit the website recordstoreday.com. brewbash brings the beerBrewBash 2020 will take place at Combat Ops Entertainment on Friday, Aug. 21, from 6-10 p.m. BrewBash is a combination of great local food, beer tastings, and entertainment. Supplying the goods will be Hop River Brewing Company, Mad Anthony Brewing, Chapman’s Brewing Company, and Shigs In Pit. In addition, the event will include some tournament play, giveaways, and prizes. Gibson at TedsSinger/songwriter Tierra Gibson is set to perform at Teds Beerhall on the evening of Friday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m.Gibson will also perform a Live at Lunch show at Sweetwater at noon, Monday, Aug. 24. The Warsaw native grew up surrounded by music as jam sessions were common in her family and included everything from bluegrass to folk to ’80s rock. A listen to her covers and originals and you’ll hear how these genres and her own life experiences have influenced her music.
