Following a highly successful 2023 run, country superstar Morgan Wallen announced he will play more stadiums in 2024. A short time later, he announced he would be playing two shows in each city to help satisfy the hunger his fans have for his music.

Wallen’s One Night at a Time tour will hit 10 cities, beginning April 4-5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

A presale verification has begun — thanks to Taylor Swift for that one — so you will have to be lucky to get the chance to purchase some tickets. Sometimes I long for the days where we would have to camp outside of Wooden Nickel to be at the front of the line when owner Bob Roets opened the door to sell tickets.

Openers for the show will be Bailey Zimmerman, Nate Smith, and Lauren Watkins.

High-profile tours delayed

We don’t like to hear about cancellations, but two major artists recently announced they are canceling the remaining 2023 dates on their tours.

First, Aerosmith have postponed all dates on their Peace Out farewell tour until further notice due to singer Steven Tyler’s vocal injury.

In an announcement, the band said the injury was more serious than they initially thought, and dates will be rescheduled in 2024 when they have more information about Tyler’s recovery timeline.

Then, Bruce Springsteen announced he will not return to the stage again this year due to continued treatment for peptic ulcer disease. “The Boss” said the postponed dates will be rescheduled for 2024.

Springsteen’s tour ranked No. 2 on Pollstar‘s Mid-Year Top 10, pulling in more than $142.6 million on more than 673,000 tickets.

Segall adds dates for 2024

Singer-songwriter Ty Segall has announced a set of 2024 dates that kick off in February.

His last full-length Hello, Hi arrived in 2022, but his most recent recording is the Live at Worship EP, released in February.

Segall previously announced an Oct. 6 stop at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit followed by Old National Centre in Indianapolis the following night. The new run of dates includes Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland on May 5 and Thalia Hall in Chicago on May 6.

Wrestler performing comedy

I just binge-watched the Netflix series Wrestlers, detailing the struggles of the independent wrestling company Ohio Valley Wrestling.

A phenomenal look into the world of professional wrestling beyond what we see on television, the show often features segments with former WWE wrestler Al Snow. Snow controls the creative direction of the wrestlers, babysits, and provides a lot of fatherly advice during the show. At no time do you ever get the feeling Snow would be a fantastic stand-up comic.

You can make the judgment for yourself though when the Lima, Ohio, native performs Tag Team Comedy in his hometown with David Vox Mullen at the Lima Civic Center on Oct. 28.

It should be an interesting night.
