On Sunday, June 9, The Clyde Theatre will step back in time to the electrifying era of the 1980s, the heart of the neon-soaked, synthesizer-driven era.
That evening, the Abducted by the ’80s tour will stop with Wang Chung, Men Without Hats, and Naked Eyes.
I have to admit, Abducted by the ’80s is perfect name for the tour since fans will be taken on a nostalgic journey through iconic sounds and unforgettable melodies that will have you dancing and singing along.
Whether it’s Wang Chung’s “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” Men Without Hats’ “Safety Dance,” or Naked Eyes’ “Always Something There To Remind Me,” you know them and sang them for years, so why not come out and enjoy them live.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 22, at clydetheatre.com, over the phone at (800) 514-3849, or in person at The Clyde box office and Sweetwater Sound.
Daniel Donato brings Cosmic Country to town
Speaking of The Clyde, Nashville, Tennessee-based guitarist Daniel Donato is set to bring his Cosmic Country Tour to the venue Thursday, May 30, for genre-bending dive into southern psychedelia.
“I think Cosmic Country is a tale as old as time, really,” Donato said. “It’s yin and yang in a musical form. It’s three chords and the truth, and then on the other side it’s exploration and bravery.”
Donato started busking the streets of Lower Broadway in Nashville at the age of 14 before joining the legendary Don Kelly Band as lead guitarist a few years later. In 2020, he released his debut album, A Young Man’s Country, to a warm reception.
Now, at 25 years old, the Telecaster-wielding wunderkind has established himself as a rising dynamo in the jam band scene. He recently released his sophomore album, Reflector, and is teaming up with longtime jam group moe. for a summer tour.
Before that, we get him all to ourselves at The Clyde. Can’t wait! General admission tickets are on sale.
