Flamingo Nosebleed are gearing up for some road action this month when they venture out for a weeklong stint with the punk outfit SACK, a band that sings about bikers and brothels, and features singer Kody Templeman of The Lillingtons and Teenage Bottlerocket fame.
The fun begins on June 17 in Casper, Wyoming, and wraps up June 25 in McHenry, Illinois.
According to Flamingo Nosebleed frontman Jake Emissions, the band’s lineup will look a little different, but will be backed by members of The Give-Ups from Dayton, Ohio, a band that’s been to town on previous occasions. That right there is worth the price of admission.
As for future endeavors for the band, Emissions said, “COVID drove us into a bit of hiatus, so I just started writing a bunch of stuff and strumming around with some local friends. I’ve actually started writing a new Flamingo record with some help from Fort Wayne rock icon Jon Ross.”
As of right now, the only local date is Sept. 30 at The Brass Rail.
