Fort Wayne City Council recently approved a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area for a considerable portion of downtown, and they now have another request before them.

The request to add a zone at Electric Works is moving through the legal channels. If approved, guests could purchase alcohol from approved businesses and enjoy it outdoors, as long as they stay on the property. Specially marked cups or containers and signage help enforce the DORA boundaries.

Supporters say it would bring more business and activity to Union Street Market and Chapman’s Brewing Company.
