Everyone has a story to tell. The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre has arranged the perfect night for you to hear a few stories from local celebrities. The annual Celebrities Act Up fundraiser takes place at the Arts United Center on Oct. 8 and will feature some familiar Fort Wayne folks sharing stories of inspiration, humor, and even embarrassment. Join hosts Julian Teekarem and Jack Keenan as they welcome Fort Wayne City Councilman Tom Didier, Fort Wayne Fire Fighter Patrick Shawn, Fort Wayne Civic Theatre’s own Phillip Colglazier, and more to the stage for an entertaining night of “Masquerade Monologues: Celebrities Act Up.” In addition to the entertainment, the Civic Theatre will host live and silent auctions where you can bid on unique party packages including a stay in Orlando, Fla., as well as another that includes a stay in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. You will also be able to bid on unique party experiences from Chops Wine Bar, Birdies Restaurant & Rooftop Bar at The Bradley, the Oyster Bar, Joseph Decuis, and a collaboration among the Burger Bar, the History Center, the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, and the Gingerbread Festival. An appetizer buffet will be presented by Club Soda while complimentary cocktails will be served. Dessert by DeBrand will top off the evening. All proceeds benefit the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre. Ticket reservations should be purchased by Friday, Oct. 1, online at fwcivic.org.
