The World According to Snoopy runs one more weekend at the Williams Theatre at PFW. Performances are Thursday-Saturday Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. plus a matinee on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m.
A revised version of the classic musical Snoopy!, the musical features Charles M. Schulz’s iconic Peanuts characters Charlie Brown, Sally, Peppermint Patty, Lucy, Linus, and Woodstock. This family-friendly show, filled with wistful humor and the anxieties of its juvenile characters, speaks to adults and kids alike.
Tickets are $5 for PFW and high school students and children under 18, $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, and $14 for college students with ID or groups of 10 or more. Tickets are available at the door or go to pfw.edu/theatre or call (260) 481-6555 to reserve tickets.
DeKalb County Free Fall Fair
The DeKalb County Free Fall Fair runs through Sunday, Oct. 3, at 708 S. Union St., Auburn. Sponsored by Bayou Billy Homebrew Soda Pop, the event is one of the largest and most popular street fairs in Indiana. Free concerts, games, rides, an industrial tent, a petting zoo, horse shows, contests, and 4-H Fair activities with a different theme each day — Thursday is Homemakers Day, Friday is Kids Day, and Saturday is the Grand Finale Parade/Reunion Day.

Pits in the Park
Fort Wayne Pitbull Coalition presents the 10th annual Pits in the Park. Bring your four-legged friend to this free event and enjoy music, food, vendors, and fun family activities. Food and dessert are available for purchase from Whip & Chill and C&S Whistle Stop Pizza.
The FWPBC is an all-volunteer group dedicated to improving the conditions for pit bull-type dogs in Northern Indiana.
Civic Theatre seeks set builders
The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre is offering two free tickets to its holiday show, The Christmas Schooner, to volunteers who work eight or more hours building and painting the show’s set.
Volunteers must be age 16 and older and must wear closed-toe shoes. No experience is necessary. Volunteers will also receive an invitation to the annual Anthony Awards celebration in June.

Story time at the children’s zoo
Every Tuesday and Wednesday through the end of the season, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo holds 30-minute story time.
The program features an animal-themed story paired with an animal demonstration with one of the zoo’s ambassador animals. Meet on the Australian Adventure Plaza at 10:30 a.m. for this program, designed for children ages 5 and under with an adult.
The program is free with zoo admission.
Lucky Duck Consignment Sale
The Lucky Duck Fall/Winter consignment sale will be held at Memorial Coliseum from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3.
Thousands of discounted children’s items, including clothing, toys, shoes, decor, and equipment, will be housed in 35,000 square feet of space. General admission is free Saturday (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Sunday (9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with many items half price). Pre-sale tickets are available for Thursday and Friday for a fee.

Haunted Castle and Black Forest
It’s the 40th anniversary of the Haunted Castle and Black Forest, Fort Wayne’s premiere haunted attraction for the whole family. Located on 8965 Auburn Road in Fort Wayne, the Haunted Castle and Black Forest are maintained and operated by youth and adults with the St Vincent’s Boy Scouts Troop 2, Varsity Team 6402, and Venture Crew 2802. Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and American Heritage Girls from around the area also volunteer their time to help.
The Haunted Castle consists of many haunt scenes and two slides. The Black Forest is an outdoor haunt winding through the woods on a gravel trail along the Beckett’s Run Creek.
