Hippie Fest is a family-friendly music and arts festival featuring a variety of activities and vibrant entertainment for all ages. This year’s celebration takes place September 14-15 at Buck Lake Ranch in Angola.
Hippie Fest celebrates the free spirit in all of us as like-minded people from across the country gather to celebrate peace, love, and all things groovy. Take advantage of your chance to participate in an interactive drum circle where you can pound to your heart’s delight or just let your creative juices flow in the DIY tie-dye area. Take a look at what hippies used to drive at the hippie car show (spoiler alert, there will be more than a few Volkswagen buses on display) or entertain the little ones in the kids activities zone.
When you’re ready to shop, there will be all kinds of wares available to purchase in the bohemian market, a wide variety of delicious food, a beer tent, kids activities, and even an opportunity to take a stroll through the giant bubble garden. What’s a giant bubble garden? Well, you’ll have to stop by to find out.
Nearly a dozen bands are slated to provide music during the weekend including Woodstock tribute band Magic Bus, hippie jam band Nicholas James and the Bandwagon, and folk rockers Joe Baughman + The Righteous Few. Tickets must be purchased in advance and kids 10 and under are free.
