What do you get when you combine two beards, 100 million YouTube views, a couple of hammers, and out-of-this-world voices?
The Singing Contractors, that’s what. These Internet sensations come to the Ford Theater stage inside The Honeywell Center in Wabash on August 10.
Contractors by day and singers by night, the success of this unlikely pair stems from these Indiana contractors putting the hammers down to take a coffee break on the job site and recording themselves (from their iPhones) singing “How Great Thou Art.” The viral video took place while the pair was in an unfinished corner of a home they were helping remodel.
The video gained nearly a million views in its first 24 hours and eventually secured the duo an appearance on the “Fox & Friends” morning show. Aaron Gray and Josh Arnett have continued to build on that momentum, releasing Working on a Building, Hymns and Gospel Classics in February and playing to sold-out venues across America, mostly on weekends and during breaks from their day jobs.
In concert, Gray and Arnett let their strong personalities and faith show, highlighting their extraordinary singing voices as well as their work ethic. The duo, who are signed to Gaither Music and are part of the Gaither Music family, have an incredibly unique evening planned for Wabash, where harmonies and hammers and faith collide to provide a superb evening of entertainment.
