The Rescue Band was formed a few years ago in order to spread the Word of the Gospel to the community through the power of music. Led by Erandy Hood, the band also consists of Scott Booker, Christian Doenges, and Chuck Thomas. The Rescue Band has a noble mission of helping the poor, the homeless, and the down and out in our community by using their talents as musicians to spread the Word.
That mission comes from real-life experiences since Hood once counted himself among the homeless population. Losing everything to drug and alcohol addiction, he turned to God to help him out of his seemingly impossible situation. Since then, he has devoted his life to helping others.
Throughout their high energy, passionate, and emotional shows, The Rescue Band use songs and prayer to help point people to the way of Jesus Christ. They also raise awareness about God’s work at The Rescue Mission where they provide rehabilitation, emergency shelter, and community and resident meals throughout the year.
The band will appear at the Sweetwater Performance Theatre on May 15 with special guests Britt & Dylan, collecting donations and needed items that will support the men, women, and children at the Rescue Mission and its ministries.
The band is non-profit and every penny collected goes to the homeless at The Rescue Mission & Charis House for Women.
