Metallica are arguably the biggest and most popular band in the world. A proven live act, the band is set to headline five festivals next year, including Sonic Temple in Columbus. Sadly, you’ll have to wait more than half a year and pay a hefty sum if you want to go.

In the meantime, you can get the next best thing when The Clyde Theatre presents The Four Horsemen on November 16.

The Four Horsemen are the only album-quality Metallica tribute currently touring the U.S. according to their website. But they don’t play any of the nonsense Metallica recorded after the “Black Album.” Instead, The Four Horsemen focus on the first five albums and select songs from EPs to bring you what they call the “Black and Back” experience. A virtual showcase of the songs that made Metallica into what they are today, the songs are performed exactly how they were played on the various albums with all the bass lines, drum fills, and breakneck speed the band played when they were in their prime. An extreme dedication to recreating the Metallica experience is what sets this band apart from all the rest. Rock fans love them, metal fans love them and most of all, Metallica fans love them.

Local bands Static Fly and In Blood will open the show.
