Heads Up! This article is 4 years old.

In August and September, Headwaters Park seems to be a place where inaugural festivals that aim to become summer stalwarts get their auditions.

On August 25, something tantalizing titled the Tacos, Tequila & Margaritas Fest will happen there.

An event by this exact name was launched in Indianapolis in 2017 and did well enough to be expanded to two days in 2018.

It is not known if there is any connection between the Naptown and Summit City events. The organizers of the Headwaters Park event undoubtedly hope the success of its progenitor migrates north.

Advanced tickets, at $5, are available through Eventbrite. Advance purchase confers upon the purchaser coupons that are good toward a margarita purchase.

Fort Wayne has proved again and again that it will take a chance on new festivals, especially ones with as many enticing nouns in its title as this one.

Anything to make the most of a waning summer.
