Just two years after releasing their first recording, a five-song self-titled EP, Midland garnered two Grammy nominations for their hit song “Drinking Problem.” The Texas-based trio with two feet firmly planted in the roots of country music signed to mega-label Big Machine Records in 2016 and never looked back, riding the momentum of “Drinking Problem,” the song that helped them gain spots on tours with Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town and Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill.

No, this ain’t “bro country.” This is music that is true to the spirit of what the forefathers of the genre intended and, judging by the response so far, what many country fans have been thirsting to hear. Their debut full-length album On The Rocks rose to the No. 2 position on Billboards Country Album Chart and they were nominated as New Artist of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year at the ACM Awards last year.

Now on the road in support of their sophomore LP Let It Roll, released in August, Midland will stop by The Clyde Theatre in Fort Wayne on Nov. 9. The album has already yielded two hit singles in “Mr. Lonely” and “Burn Out” with more on the way as the band continues to wind their way around the U.S.

Midland’s former manager, Josh Desure, performing simply under the moniker Desure and who created some buzz of his own last year with the single “Stranded Son,” will open the show.
