The Fort Wayne Pit Bull Coalition offers a unique twist on the traditional Battle of the Bands. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21, at Copper Canyon Tobacconist in Fort Wayne.

Voting at the Second Annual FWPBC Battle of the Bands will not be judged by experts, determined by crowd noise, or decided by ballot. Rather, the winning band will be crowned by raising the most donations for the organization.

The Kickbacks will try to defend their title as reigning champs by taking on challengers The Paper Heart, Mud Creek, Calloused, Element:Indigo and ¡FUA!. The reigning band will win studio time at Sweetwater Studios as well as the satisfaction of helping some amazing animals.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Mad Anthony’s and Mercadito Taqueria plus cigars from the event host. A gated, enclosed patio will be on location to allow patrons to meet adoptable dogs before, during, and after the show.

Voting for your favorite bands can be done by cash and card donations, so be sure to bring one or both of those with you. Although this event is for the dogs, you are asked to leave yours at home. This will be a loud and crowded event that may not be comfortable for your pup.
