It’s not quite baseball season yet, but Parkview Field is bustling with activity on a daily basis, including hosting the 16th annual Fort Wayne Festiv-ALE on March 7. The Wine & Stein Celebration is being held once again to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Festiv-ALE has a reputation as one of the first “can’t miss” events of the year and includes a wide array of wines, fabulous food, sweets, local commodities, and live music. This is an opportunity to have fun and help CF stand for Cure Found as you enjoy over 35 tasting stations, including a slew of cocktails from local distilleries, craft beers, wines, food from various local restaurants, and a silent auction featuring items you’re going to want to bid on over and over again. The goal of the event is to raise $65,000 to help with the day-to-day activities of the foundation whose mission is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide local people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives by funding research and drug development, partnering with the CF community, and advancing high-quality, specialized care. The event will be all indoors, away from the unpredictable Indiana weather. The ticket price includes all food and beverage tastings. VIP ticket holders get early admission at 6 p.m. with the main event beginning at 7:30 p.m.
