Heads Up! This article is 3 years old.

Chris Redd has been one of Saturday Night Live’s most popular cast members over the past two years, impersonating real-life personas like Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Wesley Snipes, and even Louis Farrakhan. He brings his stand-up routine to the Embassy Theatre August 4 as headliner of the third annual Let’s Fest comedy festival.

An electrifying actor, writer, and standup, sketch, and improv performer, Redd recently won an Emmy for his work on SNL for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. In addition to his work on SNL, Redd has also appeared in comedy feature films like Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping opposite Andy Samberg, The House opposite Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler, and A Futile and Stupid Gesture opposite Will Forte.

Redd has also been a fixture on Netflix, starring in the pot-centric comedy Disjointed opposite Kathy Bates and in Wet Hot American Summer. Last year, Redd showed off his comedy chops when he was featured on Comedy Central Standup Presents, where he shared several personal stories with a comedic edge to an audience that seemed to devour every word. Some of those topics included a passive aggressive flight attendant he encountered during a trip, helping his cousin come out of the closet and meeting a strange magician in Los Angeles.

With two more years worth of experiences under his belt since that television special, it’s a sure bet he will have plenty more stories to tell that will leave everyone wanting more.
