Fort Wayne tends not to be among Bruce Springsteen’s stops when he’s touring across the United States, leaving fans to travel to Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, or Louisville to attend one of his famous concert experiences. And in the last couple of years, the Boss has been too busy selling out the Walter Kerr Theatre on Broadway in his Tony-winning solo show to tour at all.
But all is not lost for those who have an itch to hear this beloved song catalog put to good use. Visiting the Clyde Theatre on September 7 is Bruce in the USA, touted as the #1 Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band around. The addition of the Clyde Theatre to Fort Wayne’s vibrant entertainment options has been a huge boon to the area in recent months, and the Bruce in the USA booking should attract both Bruce zealots and even casual fans (if, in fact, casual fans even exist).
While it’s hard to imagine Bruce introducing members of his band – or even his own tribute band – with, “And now, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada…” Bruce in the USA has nailed the almost impossible-to-duplicate sound that fans have come to expect from not only the Boss, but from the equally beloved E Street Band.
True, Bruce and his band have been at it for over 40 years now, and Bruce in the USA started in 2004. But YouTube videos don’t lie, and Bruce in the USA is the real unreal deal.
