Fort Wayne’s annual Art Crawl is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 17, from 5-9 p.m. Presented by Art This Way to increase awareness of the program, educate the community, and expose the public to the arts, the event takes place at a number of locations around the city, including Dash-In, The Landing, Porch Off Calhoun, Shindigz Alley, PNC Plaza, Utopian Coffee + Kitchen, Keller Willims Gallery, 125 West Main Gallery, and The Atrium.

These locations can be visited in any order and each location will feature a live band, an artist, free appetizers, a cash bar, and a gallery show.

Featured artists include Julie Wall, Theoplis Smith III, and Joseph Pelka. Musical acts include James & The Drifters, The Todd Harrold/Nick Bobay Do, Goats Beards, Alcia Pyle, DJ Polaris, and Piano Men (an Elton John and Billy Joel tribute).

Food and drink will be available from Utopian Coffee and Kitchen, Landing Beer Co., Dash-In, Hall’s Restaurants, and free appetizers will be provided by Copper Spoon, Don Hall’s Restaurants, Utopian Coffee and Kitchen, Landing Beer Company, JK O’Donnell’s Irish Ale House, Insomnia Cookies, Dash-In, and Zinnia’s Bakehouse.

Participants along the crawl will need to wear their wristbands to enter the venues. There will be two check-in kiosks, one on West Wayne Street beside Big Apple Pizza and the other in the alley beside 816 S. Calhoun St.

Art Crawl is sponsored by Art This Way, a program of the Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District. Money raised at this event will go directly to funding public art in Downtown Fort Wayne.
