Alter Bridge brings their “Walk The Sky” tour to The Clyde Theatre in Fort Wayne on Feb. 12. Support for the show will come from Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery as well as the band Deepfall.
The tour is named after Alter Bridge’s sixth album, Walk the Sky, which arrived late last year, landing in the Top 10 of a number of charts around the world. They have already released five singles from the album including “Wouldn’t You Rather,” “Pay No Mind,” and the latest track “Dying Light.”
Formed from the ashes of Creed in 2004, Alter Bridge made an immediate impact in the rock world when their debut album hit No. 5 on the Billboard Albums chart, selling 750,000 copies in the U.S. alone. Their sense of melody, along with introspective lyrics and great guitar work, resounded with most Creed fans and appealed to a new audience as well. Since that debut, the band has evolved from the Creed sound, creating their own identity and becoming one of the most consistent rock acts around with every album release charting in the Top 20, driven by 14 successful Top 40 singles.
Lowery, for his part, is touring in support of his debut solo album, God Bless the Renegades, released on Jan. 31. The album represents the guitarist in a different musical light than the music he plays with Sevendust, but should resonate with those fans as well.
