The Offspring have announced a North American leg to the Supercharged Worldwide in ’25 Tour.

The tour kicks off July 11 and stops at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on July 15, Ruoff Music Center in Indianapolis on July 26, Pine Knob Music Theatre in Detroit on July 27, Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on Aug. 13, and Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Chicago on Aug. 16.

Special guests Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory join the band on the mostly amphitheater tour.

The California-based Offspring had a lot of mainstream success in 1994-95, based on the strength of singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem,” and “Gotta Get Away” from their album Smash

Other singles have hit big along the way as well, including “Pretty Fly for a White Guy,” “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” and “Hit That.” So there will be plenty to choose from when making the setlist.

Their newest album, Supercharged, was released late last year.

Traveling festival gets loud

The Summer of Loud Festival, a new touring festival featuring a headlining rotation of Beartooth, I Prevail, Killswitch Engage, and Parkway Drive will stop in 25 cities this summer.

Those stops include Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Chicago on July 13 and Pine Knob Music Theatre in Detroit on July 16.

“The hard rock community has not had a dedicated home to develop bands or to elevate headliners specifically in a touring festival setting for over a decade,” promoter Dave Shapiro said in an announcement. “This is a void that we all personally felt needed some attention, and over the last six years we have worked towards developing this idea into something tangible.

“We are incredibly excited to bring to the world the first ever Summer of Loud Festival tour.”

Amity Affliction and The Devil Wears Prada will rotate as direct support. Alpha Wolf will round out the bill.

To highlight that the metal world does have a heart, the tour will donate $1 from each ticket to Living The Dream Foundation, a nonprofit that helps children and young adults living with life-threatening illnesses.

Patti Smith celebrates Horses

Patti Smith is celebrating the golden anniversary of her acclaimed debut album, Horses, by performing it in full on a tour.

After a run of dates in Europe, Smith brings the tour to the U.S. in November, kicking things off with a Nov. 10 performance at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre. The tour includes a stop at The Chicago Theatre on Nov. 17.

Horses was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation into the National Recording Registry in 2019.

Buckeye Fest headlining acts

Jelly Roll and Kane Brown are set to headline 2025 Buckeye Country Superfest.

Set for June 21 inside Ohio Stadium, the country music festival will also feature Megan Moroney, Treaty Oak Revival, Dasha, and Conner Smith

Tickets start at just $60.

Brown and Jelly Roll have become two of the hottest names in country in relatively short time. Brown is touring on his recently released fourth studio album The High Road, while Jelly Roll is still supporting last year’s Beautifully Broken.
