Paul McCartney is coming to the Memorial Coliseum June 3. Those tickets have been sold out for months and if you try to get something on the secondary market, they’re likely to cost you hundreds of dollars.

Instead, consider a warm-up to McCartney’s show in the Summit City.

C2G Music Hall has the show for you. The McCartney Project, a Paul McCartney tribute show, will appear there May 24 as part of the band’s “The Wonder Of It All Tour.” The McCartney Project is America’s No. 1 tribute to Paul McCartney and features the left-handed Tony Burlingame as McCartney.

While the group obviously pays tribute to the music of The Beatles and Wings, it also wants to gives the audience an “experience” by reproducing the music note for note and creating an atmosphere like you would have seen when McCartney was performing these songs in his younger years.

Some of the songs you’re likely to hear are “Eight Days A Week,” “Band on the Run,” “Live and Let Die,” and, of course, “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Maybe I’m Amazed,” and “Hey Jude.” The members of Burlingame’s backing band are world-class musicians as well, providing outstanding vocal harmonies while replicating the complexities and nuances of the music from the man we have come to know simply as “Sir Paul.”
