The Fairfield, a multi-story destination for duckpin bowling, cornhole, bocce ball, indoor golf simulators, and large-capacity event space, has begun to open their doors at 1510 Fairfield Ave.
While opening dates for various floors will be announced through early 2025, the first space to open is The Fairfield Wedding & Events space on the third floor, which opened Nov. 16.
On Dec. 16, the second floor of the venue will swing wide with Urban Golf, which will be open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday for members. The general public will then have access from 4 p.m.-midnight Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday, and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday. Memberships are currently on their website.
Later, the first floor, Pinhouse Social, will open. There is no set date for Pinhouse Social, but updates will be forthcoming on social media.
A grand opening celebration is planned for early January. A fourth venue within the complex is expected to be announced in early 2025.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome guests into The Fairfield as we open our doors to the community,” co-founder David Beer said.
The Hedge on the move; Good Bread moves in
The Hedge is moving from its Broadway location to Columbia Avenue.
On Nov. 25, owner Julie Wall took to social media to make the announcement, stating the art gallery will be moving to her old stomping grounds in the 05 District: “It’s a super swanky little space I’m finalizing in the backyard of our original property at 1136 Columbia Ave.”
Along with the announcement, Wall also informed the community that Roanoke’s Good Bread For All will be moving into her former space at 1016 Broadway.
“I’m so incredibly excited to move over and let Good Bread into the space I love,” Wall said. “I know (Sarah Thompson) is going to bring some serious positive energy to the block, and I hope you will make it one of your regular stops.”
