Wagon Wheel Theatre, 2515 E. Center St., in Warsaw has announced the lineup for their 2023 Summer Season.
The immersive “in-the-round” theater will welcome six shows to the stage next summer, starting in June and ending in August.
The first show will be family friendly favorite The Little Mermaid, on stage June 1-10. From June 15-24 is Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville, whichrevolves around a part-time bartender/singer who falls for a career-minded tourist.
Next up is Kiss Me Kate, a musical about ex-lovers, running from June 29-July 8, followed by Jesus Christ Superstar from July 13-22.
Always … Patsy Cline will round out the season from Aug. 10-19.
The penultimate show has yet to be announced, but you can find out what it will be Oct. 31.

Sidewalk Sale returns downtown
The third annual Sidewalk Sale will be Friday, Aug. 12, and Saturday, Aug. 13, in downtown Fort Wayne.
Participating retail shops and restaurants will offer discounted specials, and visitors can scan a QR code at participating locations to enter for a chance to win a downtown package valued at more than $400.
Meet and support business owners while taking in live music from Angie Marquardt, The Mad Scatter, the L&J Duo, Flow Down Hula Hoopers, OG Band, and more.
Interactive games and a visit from a “princess” are also on the schedule, and Hops Harvester Fort Wayne will offer free wagon rides throughout downtown from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., strategically connecting shoppers and diners from one participating location to the next.

Horse rescue volunteer orientation
Shadarobah Horse Rescue will hold a volunteer orientation Sunday, Aug. 14, from 10:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. at their sanctuary, 3395 County Road 19 in Auburn.
Shadarobah Horse Rescue is dedicated to saving horses from slaughter, abuse, and neglect, and placing them with loving homes.
Another way to help the sanctuary is by taking part in “dine to donate” Thursday, Aug. 18, at Wings, Etc., 497 East Dupont Road in Fort Wayne. Mention proceeds from sales will go to the rescue.
“ ’Sall Good, Man” trivia at Trubble Brewing
On Friday, Aug. 12, Trubble Brewing will host Better Call Saul trivia night to celebrate the series finale of the hit AMC show that will air Monday, Aug. 15.
The cost is $5 per player with a maximum team size of six, with trivia beginning at 8 p.m.
Grand Wayne inks Tattoo Festival
The annual Fort Wayne Tattoo Festival returns to Grand Wayne Convention Center on Aug. 12-14.
There will be live tattooing from 200 of the world’s best artists, tattoo competitions, fine art, live performances, charity fundraisers, and more.

Practice for Kinky Boots Dance Auditions
In preparation for auditions for the upcoming Three Rivers Music Theatre production of Kinky Boots, dance audition workshops will be led by the show’s choreographer, Mandie Kolkman, on Thursday, Aug. 18, and Thursday, Aug. 25, at Fort Wayne Dance Collective, 437 E. Berry St.
The free workshops are not required to audition, but will be helpful for those artists who don’t pick up choreography quickly.
On Aug. 18, from 6-7:30 p.m., Kolkman will teach a combination for anyone interested in auditioning for Lola or one of the Angels. This combination will be in heels, so bring appropriate footwear. On Aug. 25, from 6-7:30 p.m., she will teach the combination all auditioners will start with at the Monday, Aug 29, audition.
Audition for Arena’s Into the Breeches
Director Reuben Albaugh is looking to cast six women and two men for Into the Breeches, a comedy about an all-female production of William Shakespeare’s Henriad, which is assembled when a British playhouse’s director and leading men are off at war with the Axis.
Auditions will be Aug. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. at Arena Dinner Theatre, 719 Rockhill St. Auditioners should have a schedule of all rehearsal conflicts at auditions and be prepared to read scenes from the script.
Rehearsals will begin the week of Sept. 12 and will typically be 7-1o p.m. Monday-Friday. Some Sunday rehearsals might be called. Every effort will be made to schedule rehearsal around actor’s conflicts.
Performances are scheduled Oct. 27-Nov. 12, with a Sunday matinee Nov. 6.
