The band Stone Bluezz recently made their debut with a performance at Wrigley Field Bar & Grill that has a lot of people talking.
Those in attendance got a good dose of blues and classic rock by the likes of vocalist/guitarist Gary McMeekin, bassist Kenton Snyder, keyboardist Jeff Ude (filling in for Mike Monroe), and drummer Michael Pettit. Those are some well-known names in town, and collectively they have more than 200 years of live musical playing experience.
“This band, in a number of different forms, has been going on for many years,” Snyder said. “First, it was called Black Kat Moan, and now with some personnel changes we decided to change the name to Stone Bluezz.”
Together, they cover acts like Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, The Allman Brothers Band, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, and Walter Trout.
As of press time, they have no shows booked, but expect them to add some in the near future.
