The Clyde staying busy

TikTok phenomenon and The Daily Show correspondent Josh Johnson will make a stop at The Clyde Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 10, during his The Flowers tour.

The Emmy-nominated writer, stand-up comedian, and actor has become Comedy Central’s “most watched comedian ever.” His most recent stand-up special, Josh Johnson: Up Here Killing Myself, premiered on Peacock in 2023.

Along with Johnson, The Clyde has announced that Leonid & Friends will return Sunday, Sept. 17, to capture the spirit, musicality, and force of the band Chicago. They have since expanded their repertoire to include music by the likes of Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and new original material.

Leonid & Friends are always a fan-favorite, don’t miss out on this one.

If that’s not enough, The Clyde will also bring Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel to The Summit City Friday, Oct. 17.

Last year, the Grammy winner released a remastered 20th anniversary edition of his landmark album, Endless Road. Folks can expect to hear songs from that as well as others from his lengthy catalog.

Tickets for Johnson, Leonid & Friends, and Emmanuel go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, at clydetheatre.com, by phone at (800) 514-3849, and in person at The Clyde box office and the Sweetwater concierge desk.

Things getting really heavy at Piere’s

Whoever said we don’t have enough metal shows in Fort Wayne is just plain crazy.

As a matter of fact, there will be enough metal on March 8 at Piere’s to last you the rest of the year.

In the main room, Indiana Music Fest III will ensue with a good mix of hard rock and metal bands, both original and cover bands.

Hitting the big stage will be Brugada, Downshift, Nekronik, Thank You Wendy, and Aperture. This is an all-ages show and will begin at 6 p.m.

Then, Stan’s Room will host the New York Death Militia/Indiana Death Militia’s 10th annual Meet & Greet.

This too is all-ages and will feature heavy hitters such as Salem’s Childe, Wraith, Legion, The Lurking Corpses, and Wrath Hammer

Tickets for both shows can be purchased at etix.com and all Wooden Nickel locations.
