The fine folks at The Clyde Theatre have announced that on Sunday, Aug. 18, they will welcome blues rocker Samantha Fish as she brings herBulletproofTourto town with Sgt. Splendor

Since launching her recording career in 2009, Fish has established herself as a rising star in the contemporary blues world. The charismatic singer-songwriter/guitarist has always delighted Fort Wayne fans when she comes to town and I would expect no less this time around.

Fans can expect to hear selections from her entire catalog, including her latest release, 2023’s Death Wish Blues, a collaborative album with Jesse Dayton. The album earned a Grammy nomination for Contemporary Blues Album of the Year.

In addition to the news about Fish, The Clyde has also announced the tribute act Face 2 Face: Tribute to Elton John & Billy Joel on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 21.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, May 2, at clydetheatre.com, over the phone at (800) 514-3849, or in person at The Clyde box office and Sweetwater Sound.

Celtic music makes its way to Foellinger

Not to be out done, Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation announced Irish folk bands The High Kings and Gaelic Storm will perform at Foellinger Theatre on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

The High Kings, the true heirs of Ireland’s folk heritage, have been internationally acclaimed singers of Irish folk songs since they first arrived in 2008.

As for the Celtic juggernaut Gaelic Storm, they continue to grow stronger with each live performance, and after two decades and more than 2,000 shows, they are truly a force to be reckoned with.

Tickets are available for purchase at ticketmaster.com and in person at the parks and recreation department, 705 E. State Blvd.
