While opportunities to celebrate during Indiana’s winter are few and far, we can all come together to usher in longer days ahead on Saturday, Dec. 21, the official start of winter.
The shortest day of the year ultimately signifies longer days ahead and, hopefully, more sunshine and warmth in our future.
That is why Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation have picked this day to sponsor their free Winter Solstice Walk/Ride & Campfire at Salomon Farm.
Bring a flashlight, battery operated lantern, or Christmas lights and join others as you all enjoy the winter solstice on Pufferbelly Trail and Salomon Farm Trail Loop.
Afterwards, attendees gather back at Salomon Farm for refreshments, a campfire, and activities.
