The final show of this year’s Black & White Silent Film Series comes in the form of Why Worry?
Featuring Harold Lloyd and a bonus short film, Bumping Into Broadway, both accompanied by Embassy Theatre’s Grande Page Pipe organ, organist Clark Wilson will transport the audience back in time by playing melodious tunes as the stories unfold on the screen.
Why Worry? follows a wealthy businessman obsessed with his health as he travels to a small South American island for the peace and seclusion he is desperately seeking. Instead, he stumbles into the midst of a revolution against the island’s republic.
Then Lloyd’s first short film, Bumping Into Broadway, sees his character go broke trying to impress a struggling actress by paying her rent and, in doing so, rendering himself penniless.
