The History Center, home to the Allen County Historical Society and keeper of a collection of more than 32,000 artifacts, photographs, and documents, will host author Kayleen Reusser and her presentation of Voices From Vietnam: Stories of War at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, as part of the free George R. Mather Sunday Lecture Series.
Reusser will share stories from men who served in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force and were among the last Americans drafted for military service.
The veterans interviewed for her book were mainly from northeast Indiana with several from Fort Wayne. The stories that will be shared include accounts of battle as well as the trauma these veterans encountered upon returning home.
A book signing will follow.
