The 2023 Summit City Music Theatre season kicks off with The Wedding Singer on Feb. 24 at The Charles on Carroll Road.

Two weekends of performances are on tap, Feb. 24-26 and March 3-5.

Based on the 1998 Adam Sandler film of the same name, The Wedding Singer teleports you to 1985 to meet New Jersey wedding singer Robbie Hart, whose fiancée leaves him at the altar and sends him spiraling, resulting in hilarity as he continues to perform at weddings, ruining them in the process.

Life is hard until he finds Julia a waitress who wins his affection.

As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark. Unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.

The PG-13 comedy has crude humor and adult language and situations, so you’ll want to leave the little ones at home.
