The one-woman play The Pink Unicorn will be presented at First Presbyterian Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Friday-Saturday, July 19-20. 

Starring veteran local actress Maggie Kole Hunter, this play follows Mrs. Tricia Lee as she attempts to raise her granddaughter in a small town in East Texas. She confides in the audience as she wrestles with the idea that her granddaughter has announced she is starting a chapter of the Gay and Straight Alliance at her school, resulting in a poignant, funny, heart-touching quest that leaves her listeners buoyed up by Tricia’s courage. 

Through humor and heart, Tricia’s journey addresses themes of family, faith, and acceptance in the face of hate speech and societal norms. 

All ticket proceeds benefit the Northeast Indiana Positive Resource Connection.
