Promised to be “an all ages event like no other,” Slam City Skatepark’s Action Sports Festival takes place on Saturday, July 27, at Lawton Park.
The high-flying and inventive fun starts at 11 a.m. with a 15 and under Kids Jam featuring skateboards, BMX, and scooters with prizes given out for each progression.
A skateboard demo immediately follows featuring Dead End Skateboards presenting “Why We Skate.” From 3-4 p.m. an advanced skateboard jam takes place with a BMX jam following at 4 p.m. The day is topped off with the grand finale spectacle, the highly anticipated Skate vs. BMX Deathrage.
Other highlights include a BMX raffle, food and beverage vendors, DJ J-Tubbs.
