‘Sherlock, Jr.’

Embassy Theatre
125 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne
$10 • (260) 424-6287
An opportunity to indulge in part of the popular Silent Film Series at Embassy Theatre arises when the venue hosts Buster Keaton’s Sherlock, Jr. on Sunday, July 14, with film accompaniment by Dennis Scott, official organist of the Buster Keaton Society.
The award-winning 1924 comedy follows Keaton as he uses his amateur detective skills to solve a robbery in which he was framed as the culprit.
As a bonus, The Embassy will also show Balloonatic, a Keaton short film where a hapless amusement park attendant finds his runaway balloon ride has left him in a strange predicament.
Finally, the day marks the return of Grandparents Day, where children age 12 and under and attendees 65 and over get in free, offering a great chance to take in the sounds and music of the Grande Page Pipe Organ alongside a comical silent film, learn about how the organ saved the Embassy from the wrecking ball, and enjoy free popcorn and fun activities before the show.
