Five-time Grammy and Emmy nominee Margaret Cho has a knack for bringing social issues to light by simply talking about them and making people laugh, which is what she’ll be doing at Summit City Comedy Club.
Making it a priority to support the causes that are important to her like anti-racism, anti-bullying, and LGBTQ+ rights, Cho has built a legendary standup career using her unique voice, including on several national comedy tours, television and film appearances, and on her podcast.
Despite her successes, feeling left out and alienated are subjects still near to Cho’s heart. She is looked upon as the “Patron Saint of Outsiders” by fans, speaking for those who are not able to speak for themselves and encouraging people to use their voice to promote change.
A chance to see Cho in as intimate a setting as Summit City Comedy Club doesn’t come along often, so these five shows, taking place Oct. 13-15, are likely to be extra special.
