Kentucky Headhunters charted four consecutive singles — “Walk Softly on This Heart of Mine,” “Oh Lonesome Me,” “Dumas Walker,” and “Rock ’n’ Roll Angel” — off their 1989 debut album Pickin’ on Nashville and have never looked back. 

On Saturday, Sept. 30, they’ll be joined by Molly Hatchet at Honeywell Center in Wabash.

Molly Hatchet’s unique blend of rock and country helped pave the way for Kentucky Headhunters and the genre with several hits in the ’70s, including “Beatin’ the Odds,” “Take No Prisoners,” and, of course, “Flirtin’ with Disaster.” 

Together, this pair of Southern rock heavyweights are a definite force to reckon with, and we reckon you will be in for a perfectly Southern-fried night.
