More than two decades have passed since Ike Reilly released his critically acclaimed debut album Salesmen & Racists on Universal. 

Since splitting with the label, the Chicago-based Reilly has been recording and performing with his backing band as Ike Reilly & The Assassination, creating rebellious punk, rock, and  country- and blues-influenced rock. 

Many got a chance to hear the band when they played the main stage at Foellinger Theatre during the 2022 Middle Waves Music Festival.

Reilly’s penchant for blending epic storytelling with intrepid rock riffs and melodies have earned the band a reputation as one of the heavyweights in indie rock. So, to see them in as intimate a venue as The Brass Rail on Thursday, Feb. 22, should be viewed as a special treat for Summit City music fans.
