Harry Potter fans rejoice as Hogwarts takes over the Electric Works campus on Saturday, Oct. 5, transforming the downtown venue into a fan’s dreamland.

In partnership with Blessings in a Backpack, this free, all-ages Hogworks Takeover will immerse attendees into that magical world with a number of Hogwarts-inspired interactive experiences. There will be mystical classes and crafts, live creatures (including a petting zoo and dragon), vendors selling magical products, whimsically themed food and drinks for purchase, and music from local talent.

With its beautiful, historic buildings and brick-lined Dynamo Alley, Electric Works is perfect location for creating a pop-up wizarding world for everyone.

The activities will be spread out across the campus, with Chapman’s Brewing serving up butter beer; haunted tours, a scavenger hunt, and a Wizard Waltz Lesson in Building 26; a Wizarding Hospital Photobooth and a Wizard Game at Dynamo Alley; crafts and a bath bomb-making activity in the Do it Best Building; vendors in Building 21; adoptable pets in Off Broadway Plaza 33,  the petting zoo in Off Broadway Plaza 19; and a potion class and wizarding game in Union Street Market. In short, there will be no shortage of fun.

Proceeds benefit more than three dozen community nonprofit and support organizations.
