Formed in New York City nearly 50 years ago, Foreigner immediately served notice that they were on a rock mission with the release of their eponymous debut album in 1977, the first of four straight albums to be certified at least five times platinum in the U.S.

On the brink of hanging up the guitars and mics for good, the band embarked on their Farewell Tour this year, featuring a stop at Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne on Tuesday, Oct. 24.

While it might feel like the first time you ever heard the band as hits like “Juke Box Hero,” “Hot Blooded,” “Cold As Ice,” and “I Want To Know What Love Is” ring through the venue, it will be their last time in the Summit City and your chance to say “thanks for the memories.”

If you’d like an even earlier chance to see Michael Bluestein, Bruce Watson, and Luis Maldonado of Foreigner, they will visit Sweetwater Sound for their Very Important Beer event at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, with special guest Cage Willis.

The night will feature craft beer from Mad Anthony Brewing and an intimate showcase.
