One Fort Wayne’s holiday traditions, The History Center’s annual Festival of Gingerbread, celebrates its 37th year in 2022.

Since its inception in 1985, the Festival of Gingerbread has become one of our community’s premier holiday traditions. From Nov. 25-Dec. 18, take the opportunity to step into the Shields Room and be amazed by the variety of styles, sizes, shapes, and themes of the more the 135 edible creations on display. Competitive categories range from preschool to adults and professionals, and the theme of each creation ranges from traditional houses to replicas of existing structures to unique art. Prizes were recently awarded to winners in each category, but regardless of whether they won or lost, the emphasis is always on fun.

To accommodate those who are unable to visit in person, The History Center is again offering a Virtual Gingerbread Tour, for purchase on their website.
